Компания HIVE Blockchain раскрыла некоторые подробности соглашения с производителем чипов Intel, принявшим решение освоить отрасль майнинга. HIVE Blockchain Company has revealed some details of the agreement with the chip manufacturer Intel, who decided to master the mining industry. The Canadian miner will be one of the first buyers of these ASIC miners, who will mine Bitcoin on the farms of the Compute North data center located in Texas.
The prototype chip presented by Intel had poor performance compared to industry leaders, but HIVE Blockchain claims to receive equipment with the second version of the processor in the second half of 2022.
The contract with Compute North is for 100 MW. This will be the first BTC mining in the US, the main HIVE Blockchain mines are located in Canada near hydroelectric power plants. The Compute North Texas Center is also powered by green energy sources.
